Puppy food from three to eight weeks
In this period, the puppy is still together with its mother and the breeder. You should never take a puppy from its mother before it is eight weeks old at the least. Earlier than this would be a clear sign of a breeder with a completely different agenda than enriching the world with beautiful and lovely souls with four legs.
From three to seven weeks ESSENTIALS the BEGINNING is softened with boiled and then slightly cooled water. Boiling water should never be added to the puppy food as this would destroy the vitamins. If you do not boil the water and then wait until it is slightly cooled, you will not achieve the right consistency in the puppy food. You can prepare the puppy food one day at a time and put it in the fridge.
From the seventh week, you should give puppy food in higher amounts straight from the bag. Yum yum! In the eighth week, you should consider whether the puppy will weigh more or less than 15kg in adulthood.
Under 15kg means you should continue with the BEGINNING puppy food. Over 15kg means you should switch to the BEGINNING LARGE BREED puppy food. If you are in doubt, typically about a race weighing between 13 and 17 kg, you should choose the BEGINNING LARGE BREED.
Puppy food for small dogs
